USA by Motorhome
A wonderful trip
(Translated by Google) Excellent organization, a complete road book, all pre-paid reservations which simplifies arrival at the campsites. The choice of campsites is very good (note that the one in LA is very far from the city!). A single day in Yosemite is sufficient if you do not practice hiking and plan 2 full days in LA. A small flat on the motorhome which is difficult to use in cities especially in LA. For my part, I preferred to travel by Uber and metro. [...]
Almost perfect !
(Translated by Google) Avoid Yosemite on weekends it is inaccessible.
The napa RV campground sucks.
Warn us if the road is open between Mammoth Lake and Yosemite because night in Mammoth useless and without interest. We learned that there was 1h30 and not 5h of road between the 2.
/>
Finally the blinds (awnings) of the RVs are disconnected, it is scandalous because we need them for the rain and the sun... it makes no sense and it is very penalizing for us.

A dream vacation
(Translated by Google) I thank Authentik for organizing our vacation. Thanks to them, we have discovered a GIGANTIC new part of the globe.
Breathtaking landscapes.
Only one small downside. The organization of the trip goes from point to point to point B. Proposals for excursions are given for all points of stay and they are very interesting and judicious. However, it lacks directions on what to see or pick up on the ride. We had prepared all our routes before leaving and spotted things to see and visit on the road. And it's something you absolutely have to do because you risk missing out on some great shows.

Bon road trip
(Translated by Google) (+) Good sequence of stages, good preparation of the road book, quality of the documentation
(+) Total change of scenery
(+) RV C30 well suited for a family of 5 people
(+) all the people you meet (campers, tourists, traders) are very friendly and jovial
(-) Only one night for stages that deserve at least two (Zion, Bryce)
(-) unrealistic travel times indicated in the road book with this type of vehicle: it takes one to two hours more depending on the length of the stage (max average of 50 mph)
(-) Very noisy air conditioning in the RV, even in low cool mode: difficult to sleep at night
(-) Amazing fuel consumption of the vehicle (25 to 30 litres/100 km, even being reasonable): we fill up with $160 every 2-3 days!
(-) Minimum service and hospitality from Cruise America SFO-Newark. In addition, the other RVs we have come across (Leprechaun, DelMonte...) are better equipped
(-) Given the water capacity (clean, dirty) of the RV, it is not possible to shower in the RV (5 people). For campsites without sanitary facilities, washing with a wipe or the old-fashioned way at the tap in the middle of nature in the park
(-) Everyday life and expensive shopping in the United States: only Walmart supermarkets allow affordable food prices. Non-fast food restaurants are expensive (allow $40 per person, even with children's menus when they exist)

1st Road Trip - Very beautiful discoveries of the American West
(Translated by Google) We made a trip of 3 weeks including one by car and 2 in a motorhome. We discovered the Pacific coast from San Francisco to Los Angeles by car. then we picked up a motorhome to go to the parks and Las Vegas.
We liked the cities: San Francisco, Los Angeles and Las Vegas. These 3 cities are totally different but very interesting or surprising or incredible. We regretted not staying longer in San Francisco and Los Angeles. For parks, we particularly liked Bryce Canyon, Grand Canyon, Monument Valley and Yosemith. We passed by some sites but did not have time to visit them because the campsite was too far from the site or from the shuttles or we arrived too late. This was the case for Barstow (ghost town) Mammoth lakes and Napa Valley.
We really liked the kindness of the Americans, the beauty of the sites, the very good organization of Authentik, the quality of the hotels and campsites,
We were very disappointed with the welcome and the quality of service provided by the Apollo motorhome rental company. On our return, we told Manon, our adviser, who listened to us and settled some disputes with Apollo.
Thanks to Manon for her advice, her efficiency, her kindness, her availability.

Unforgettable trip to the USA
(Translated by Google) Very nice trip in RV for 3 weeks in the American West with 2 children, 8 and 11 years old. The stages were very well calculated and each offered a different vision and varied landscapes of the United States (cities, coasts, route 66, Indian reservation, natural and grandiose landscapes, cowboy atmosphere,...). Traveling from July 6 to 28, we were afraid of being too numerous on the road and in the sites, but we were pleasantly surprised: often alone on the roads, in sometimes unfilled campsites (especially at the beginning), we even discovered the Grand Canyon alone in the late afternoon (noon) and it was a very moving moment! The choice of campsites was quite satisfactory with perhaps a downside for Las Vegas (parking, prefer the hotel if you can) on the other hand very good for the shuttle systems for everyone: it allows you to leave the RV on site and enjoy. We had a 30-foot RV and were a little worried, but in the end, everything is done to facilitate travel in the USA: the only moment that frustrated us was in Yosemite to reach Glacier point: after 30 minutes of climbing, a few miles from arrival, we are told to turn around because it is forbidden for vehicles 30 feet or more!
Regarding the RV itself, we rented it from Cruise America. It worked well, no major problems but... limited comfort: stifling engine heat in the driving part, furniture doors that come off, vibrations and noises throughout the vehicle, faulty water pump, a gas burner out of three not working, threshold and furniture moldings to be fixed regularly, sockets not working,... in short, a vehicle not checked before the rental. Maybe we came across a too old model? (182,000 km on the clock). After discussion with other vacationers, ask EL Monte for RV rental (apparently newer vehicles and offering more comfort).
In any case, it was a wonderful trip from which we come back with lots of images in mind and on our cameras. Apart from our reservations about the Campervan, everything went very well: Charlotte Mathière did her job very well and didn't even forget to wish me my birthday in the road book that had been sent to our hotel at the arrival in San Francisco.

Very pleasant trip
A nice trip
(Translated by Google) Too short on some stages (route 1), I confirm that the motorhome in Los Angeles is a hassle. One more stage on route 66 because it is too long, find a place between Mammoth Lake and Vegas because it is really very long. For the rest, the places to visit are magnificent, satisfied with the campsites too. Just the last one was but we were close to the airport but I think it would have been preferable to have a campsite close to the cc depot because we retraced our steps and circulation+++++ [...]
Superb stay!
(Translated by Google) We would like to thank the entire Authentik USA team for organizing our trip, which couldn't have been better. Professionalism assured, congratulations!
Stunning
(Translated by Google) This trip was superb thanks to the support of authenticik who are attentive and available, thank you.
Hotels not up to standard in LA and SF
(Translated by Google) AT THE attendance not great (we meet police officers who take young people in handcuffs to hotel rooms 10 m from our room
A dark SF room with a view of nothing blind that doesn't go up
Thank you Charlotte!
(Translated by Google) Just perfect trip. Excellent pace for the main points to visit. Very good choice of campsites, whether in town or in the middle of nature. The road book is very well done and very complete. All the important information is there.
A wonderful trip!
(Translated by Google) We were delighted with our motorhome vacation in the American West! The services of Authentik USA were perfect, we highly recommend them and now we are thinking of next vacations with Authentik Canada ;-)
Shared opinion
(Translated by Google) The overall organization is correct. But it's very standard, and the customization of the trip isn't very good. The road book sucks.
A magical journey!
(Translated by Google) We discovered the American West but also the Americans and their way of life.
We shared this trip with our 3 children aged 14, 11 and 5 years old. There is a large number of very different landscapes and that is what makes the beauty of the trip. We had never traveled by motorhome before and I admit that we knew how to organize ourselves well :)
Of course if there were places to remember, I would say that it was Los Angeles (for fans of American cinema), Monument Valley among the Navajos (at John Ford and John Wayne ;) ), Las Vegas a completely mad, ...

A very well organized and planned family stay
(Translated by Google) A fantastic family holiday. Overall, everything was very good, from the motorhome to the campsite, as well as the excursions. Availability of the Authentik USA team at the top to modify the program as much as possible according to the desires of the moment. Thanks. Only downside, the campsite near the Grand Canyon the Grand Canyon Railway RV Park
What a wonderful adventure!
(Translated by Google) A trip that looks like us, our advisor knew how to hear and understand our desires, offered us all the activities we wanted and more. The advice has always been beneficial and beneficial, we really had a wonderful family adventure!
First trip with agency
(Translated by Google) Hello,
These comments reflect the impression a posteriori for a 1st experience of travel organization by agency (usually, we manage everything). With hindsight, I found it difficult to define the scope of the services offered by the agency. My impression a posteriori is that the service for a large part is based on a limited number of products, which are assembled. The customer relies on the specialist for this type of trip, perhaps explaining the choices and drawing attention to certain points would be more satisfactory. Thus, we would have liked to have been consulted or even to have certain choices explained to us, even if our inexperience in setting up travel with an agency may explain this disappointment. We had asked to be in the parks as much as possible, which was done. But for the other campsites and hotels, the places and the range have not been discussed beforehand. We were 2 families, it was important for us to have pitches side by side, which was not always possible, we discovered it on the spot (which constrained our organization, since we shared meals and Some nights could not be booked at the same campsite, perhaps there was a way to renew the request for the least requested campsite, or choose the least requested right from the start.
Another question, with hindsight, by moving every day, the full hook up is not necessary, it is above all to have a place of emptying and filling nearby that counts, which could have reduced costs ?
Another point: draw the customer's attention, before invoicing, to the cost of modifications after invoicing.
Hoping that these comments will be constructive for the following customers.

Close to perfect...
(Translated by Google) We spent three weeks in the American West in a motorhome. A fabulous family adventure. We prepared a year before the big departure and Virginie, our advisor, was a great help. The road-book was precise, we didn't even need a GPS! The C 25 motorhome was perfect for two adults and two children. Cruise America, which rents the CC, sent us a little on the way there and back, but at least we're not wasting too much time. And then they show a video in French to take control of the vehicle. Hotels in San Francisco are nice and well located. Regarding campsites, there is of course disparity, but overall, they are well chosen, both for their location and for their general quality. We loved those of the Grand Canyon or Malibu (what a view of the Pacific!). And to go to LA, it's easy: bus 534 at the bottom of the campsite and metro from Santa Monica. In a big hour, we are in the city center. Many campsites with swimming pool, it's good for children. The worst is the last one, the day before returning the CC. But it has the merit of being close to Cruise America for the return. As for the proposed tour, again, it is well thought out. But do not hesitate to see with Authentik to make some changes. For us for example, even if this incredible city is worth the detour, one night was enough in Las Vegas. In this kind of journey, do not try to see too much. Otherwise, we spend our time on the road and it is no longer a vacation. Our regret is that we were unable to go to Yosemite Park due to the fire that broke out this summer. Again, Virginie and the agency handled it well, even though the fallback site, Lake Tahoe, was crowded. that, nobody can do anything about it. The interest is also to be able to contact the advisor during the trip. Well, that's a bit of publicity, but we sincerely think so. We had already gone with Authentik to Quebec and we were very satisfied. Here is our return on this beautiful trip. We were a little exhaustive, but we were happy to read detailed comments when we prepared our trip. So we wanted to give a lot of information. In any case, we spent three wonderful weeks... [...]
California in 13 days for 2 camping
(Translated by Google) + 3000 km for this successful lightning circuit; we had a 2-person tent and the choice of campsites was 90% very crowded with the exception of Barstow, which was too close to the highway.
A stage where we did not stay that of Mountain Valley where there was absolutely nothing to see; our preference goes to mammoth lame then lake Powell where we bathed
The exceptional Grand Canyon
Mexican cuisine a real delight
So many good memories to share
Thanks

EXCEPTIONAL TRIP!
(Translated by Google) Tailor-made trip very well organized, no problems encountered. Country made for traveling by motorhome, very suitable for visiting large parks. Small disappointment on Lake Powell, very hot and ultimately disappointing (not natural, from a dam), and far too many people in Antelope Canyon. Thank you to our advisor who was present before and during the trip and who was of great help to us! [...]
Very nice discovery of the American West in a motorhome
An outstanding organization
(Translated by Google) to go on an adventure through the American West with 4 children and totally inexperienced in the matter, I needed help. By dint of looking on the internet Authentik often came back to the front with rather good reviews. it gave me confidence and I don't regret it. They are used to it and it must be said that the tour of the national parks and the journey to get there is quite classic since everyone follows more or less the same path with almost compulsory stages for reasons of distance. It is recommended to avoid stages longer than 3 hours with children, knowing that it is necessary to plan a trip and visit with more photo-discovery stops. So they know how to manage! You will not be out of place in terms of language since the tourists are mainly French, impossible to escape it and it was borderline boring because it prevented total immersion. You should know that in terms of organizing the trip, an advisor is assigned to you from start to finish. you will not pass from one interlocutor to another. Virginie was by our side (on phone and email;)) throughout the trip because we had planned Yosemite Park with hikes and we arrived at the time of the fires. We were informed in due time of the progress of the fires and the roads open or not. Impeccable service from Authentik. Each destination was pre-programmed by Virginie in the GPS provided and sent on site to the first hotel. it was a tremendous help! On the other hand, a magnificent and organized route-book with themes is also provided on site. They also offer you activities for each stage (paid with external service providers) generally a choice of 2 but without obligations.
The big flaw of the Authentik system is that if you choose to go to a stage that is not on their internal system, they will program it for you without any problem on the route book but you will not benefit from any help to find the campsite (or hotel) or any service. It's up to you to manage. This was our case for Joshua Tree National Park where they have no partner on site and will not make reservations for you even if you designate a campsite for them. it's a bit like the other side of the coin. Ditto if you want a campsite in one of their stages with which they do not have a partnership. If you don't want one of them, don't worry, but make a reservation. That said, as they cover 90% of the route and stages, it's a minor flaw. especially since we were satisfied with all the pitches and campsites chosen with Authentik. The big advantage of Authentik is there, you should know that in some national park campsites, places are terribly hard to get and some can only be reserved from certain dates and as soon as the dates open, they are taken in a few hours, worse than a Stone concert. They know when to call and book... So all these services have a cost, but since we're not going to go back there every year, I made a safe choice. On the other hand for the rental of the motorhome, we also went through them, their partner is cruise américa. We didn't have much to complain about the vehicle. average to correct cleanliness (floor a little dirty, microwave forgotten in the cleaning, friendliness of the staff at the cruise america in los angeles and san francisco a little tight but hey it's a well-established organization and borderline military so they pour into the efficiency and not the relational! ) After it's haphazard luck for the motorhome, ours had 80,000 miles but held on, we met a family in SF who had had one of 25,000 miles which failed right in the middle...hassle for them because the service of cruise américa if you break down...good luck. 2 and a half days to be repaired... We got through it so it's fine. at 2tiers and with the western heat the gas started to swell and was leaking through the safety valve...it lasted several days. With experience I now know that you can press this valve and let out excess gas. Another detail that is important, access to the telephone network on US roads, especially when doing the parks and on the way to the parks, is almost non-existent. What about when we break down?!!! Honestly, it's better not to think about it, but I wouldn't like it to happen to me...because sometimes you don't meet many people on the road, including in high season. this is also the adventure!
in short to sum up, the most beautiful trip of my life and stars full of heads. Thank you to those who contributed, in particular Virginie.

After Quebec in 2017, destination West Coast USA in 2018
(Translated by Google) We had already had the opportunity to enjoy 3 weeks of road trip organized by Virginie d'Authentik in Quebec last year, and it is without hesitation that we entrusted her with the organization of our stay in the USA over 23 days. (by adding to the initial program a day in Monterey and a day at Lake Powel). The balance of the trip is perfect - city, nature, varied landscapes and climates. The 4000 km are traveled without difficulty. You can choose to travel more in the morning or in the evening so as to lengthen the time spent in certain places, even if you only spend one night there. We were 2 parents, 4 teenagers and a 2.5-year-old child: the motorhome formula is very suitable, because it gives a lot of flexibility for meals (and the few naps for the youngest), and avoids having to do and undo things. luggage. Good addresses suggested for meals in the guide. Excellent providers for the Antelope Canyon and Monument Valley tour. The pitches of the campsites were almost always remarkable.
Only one downside: Cruise America. The reception at the delivery of the motorhome and the condition of the vehicle can be improved... and especially a breakdown of Camping where the assistance of Cruise America was very far from satisfactory, which immobilized us for 2 full days . On the other hand, we were very well supported by Charlotte from Authentik who took care of our mechanical problems in the evenings and on weekends.
So thank you to Virginie and her colleagues, whose passion, availability, professionalism, smile and taste for service for customer satisfaction can be felt with each contact by phone or email.

Unforgettable experience and landscapes!
(Translated by Google) We crossed 4 states California, Nevada, Utah and Arizona. After hesitating the choice of the motorhome was great! In San Francisco and LA we were in a hotel for 3+3 days and 16 days in a motorhome nicknamed "Hervé for RV in English!" ". Without hesitation the motorhome is a must! You can cook, take advantage of the BBQs available in each campsite. We loved everything with a ++++ for Bryce Canyon, Monument Valey in 4x4 with a Navajo guide, price negotiable. We were able to get 35€ per person instead of 85€!!!(for 5 adults). Thank you Charlotte for indicating this possibility in the wonderful book! The Grand Canyon by helicopter ???? the top fantastic unforgettable view and great feeling. We had this USA project with our adult adult children for a long time and we dreaded the complicated organization, we warmly thank Charlotte and Authentik for their help. Because of the fires we could not do Yosemite, Charlotte took care of everything to relocate us near Lake Tahoe. 3 weeks went by too fast!! But we come home with a head full of beautiful images [...]
Great trip to the American West!
(Translated by Google) A fantastic trip to discover the American West. 4 states crossed, memories full of head and eyes, an unforgettable memory for the whole family! and a great motorhome vacation experience! to start again!
A wonderful trip!
(Translated by Google) A magnificent trip, between rest and discovery in extraordinary landscapes!
We have always been able to count on Authentik USA in the event of a problem. Their responsiveness and valuable advice made this trip a real vacation, a great adventure!
We will not hesitate to organize a new trip with this company if the opportunity arises.
Epoustoufflant!
(Translated by Google) Unforgettable journey made of exceptional discoveries. The "great classics" but also small nuggets. Organization, planning, impeccable reservations. An adviser who listens and is attentive to the slightest vagaries of the trip.
The downside: the quality of the motorhome service: aging vehicle, noisy, with hot air from the engine entering the passenger compartment at the feet and at the level of the seat belts. But also on the ground and the various armchairs more than dirty. Staff expedite delivery and return. We will opt for a higher range in the future!
