Authentik organisation of RV tour through Utah
Authentik's Daphné Gagnon organised an outstanding tour for three RVs of old friends touring around Nevada, Utah and Arizona. Daphné could not have been more helpful in keeping us updated with any changes and the sites she chose were outstanding and met our needs very well. I would certainly recommend them and we too shall use them again when thinking of a tour. They knew the sights that would appeal, the road journeys were not too long and the variety of sights and experiences met our every need. [...]
Great trip with some cons...
At pickup in San Francisco
- we asked for one extra blanket but staff refused our request. In the booking info was stated 5 personal set for that particular RV. Since we were only two we did not need to take all the 5 sets but one extra would have been useful for the cold nights in some area. We had to buy two extra blanket finally on our expenses.
- there was a slideout RV prepared for us even though we booked and prepaid a not slideout one. When mentioned it we were told that if we did not take that one then we had to wait additional couple of hours for preparation an other one. Later on the staff found the proper RV prepared so we got it without extra waiting time.
- we did not get technical overview neither in words nor in written form. Fortunately we had experience in RVing so we were able to find out things ourselves.
- both the water hose and the dumping stuff were leaking seriously. We had to purchase a new water hose (receipt was accepted at drop off )
- the rig was in good general condition and worked fine during our trip.
San Francisco staff at pick-up were not really on top but Las Vegas staff at drop-off were professional, nice and cool.
Travel agent was nice and replied fast when we were booking. Later we did not contact her.

Small RV for a long road trip
I past 3 weeks with a Jucy RV in western USA. That car is convenient thanks to its optimised size ! We was 3 persons, I guess it is possible at 4 but including 2 kids. The limit was place for our personal luggages. Ready for a new experience with its little RV’s !

Wonderful road trip
Everything with good in our road trip. We would do it the same way if we come again.
Railfanning in Utah
Overall a fantastic experience, with a no hassle trip. Slightly disappointed with the rented unit, inasmuch as it had 95.000 miles on it and it showed, despite being supposedly a 2015 or newer vehicle. Not that nothing didn't work as advertised, but would have liked a "fresher" feel to it. Cleanliness of the unit was also slightly below standards. Again, nothing in particular, but it was not spotless (like slight spots of mildew in fridge and kitchen range could have been cleaner).
I was also under the impression that 110V was available, albeit in a limited manner (no for AC or Microwave) from an inverter when under way (not hooked up or wIth generator running). Maybe it was and we just didn't figure it out.
Finally, and absolutely minor, a better radio/stereo/audio system would have been appreciated.
As a rounding off feature, and NO fault of the RV Rental Co. but definitely a diesel powered vehicle would have been highly appreciated. It defies our logic that such a big "truck" would be in this day and age petrol powered. A turbo-diesel engine would have been way more fuel efficient. It is something we shall definitely look out for in future RV rentals.

Terrible Customer Service
The agent who set us up and did our orientation in Seattle was amazing and got us on the road feeling very good about our decision to use Roadbear. It didn't last. 8 pm on the friday a hose connector breaks while we were driving causing the RV to flood with water. Called the after hours number on the keychain 23 times between 8 Pm and 8 am the following morning trying to get someone to help us. no Answer 23 times.
Called the corporate number wanting to leave a voicemail for when they opened the following morning. Press zero to leave a voicemail - phone hangs up. Or stay on the line to leave a message - phone hangs up.
Finally when the customer service line comes on at 8 am I get a hold of someone. They tell me the following over a 17 minute conversation between 2 agents
-Stop dwelling on the past.
-Refer to your contract.
-It's not our fault.
-No refunds.
-Drive it to our nearest office.
-No compensation will be offered.
-What's done is done.
We drive to the Vegas office. at this point 16 hours without running water. German guy running the office Literally Argued with me over the issue. Told me he couldn't do anything because the two bosses above him don't work Saturdays. took almost 2 hours to fix. Offered to pay for breakfast on the condition it was under $10 per person.
RV gets fixed - leak in the shower now happening. RV door stops locking. Swings open as we drive down the road.
Go to drop the RV off at LA office and get great help from one of the staff. Then his German boss gets involved and she argues with me the same as in Vegas to the point her boss had to get involved.

Campervan perfect for a winter road trip
(Translated by Google) The Kuga is a perfect campervan for a winter road trip. We traveled more than 4600km between San Francisco and Monument Vallee in temperatures varying between -8°C and +20°C.
The KUGA is very comfortable and, equipped with a solar panel, ensures a power supply (12V and USB) all night long. To have heating, it is still necessary to choose the Battery + heater options.
To further improve comfort, I would recommend adding storage or even just nets on the ceiling and on the sides inside in order to have easier access to belongings. Trunks under the seats are not always practical.

Friendly staff but problem with insurance
(Translated by Google) the staff was welcoming, the rented equipment was not available and they gave us an awning in return for free.
On the other hand, there is a problem with the insurance, the connection between the payment of the agency to the camper van meant that we could have left without insurance if we had not spoken English and understood what our interlocutor was telling us because he was asking us to confirm that we had chosen not to be insured; this point is very important to understand for Authentik because it represents a risk for the uninformed tourist. For us we were reimbursed by Authentik and repaid on the spot to Camper Van insurance but it took time and did not look professional on such an important point.
Very fast and simple return procedure. This dissatisfied comment is not for the camper van agency but for the camper van rental procedure, very important to note because camper van was very pleasant and professional.

Impeccable
(Translated by Google) Rental of a motorhome by Authentik America. Price well placed compared to what we could find and very appreciable service. Very responsive and pleasant to answer questions by email. And in French ! Flawless !
The tourist guide downloaded before the trip was very useful to us. Clear and reliable information for a super successful 3-week road trip in the American West. Thank you Authentic America

Simplicity and total disconnection!
(Translated by Google) We traveled Utah for two weeks at 2 (couple) in the super C19 thanks to Authentik USA and to put it simply, we already miss life in RV! Everything was very simple thanks to the various exchanges with the Authentik teams upstream and the teams on site. Picking up and handing over the vehicle was very quick and easy, the motorhome was perfect, spacious and very well fitted out, the bed was also super comfortable to our surprise. Thank you to the Authentik teams for their availability and their valuable advice! [...]
Very disappointed!!
(Translated by Google) A cuddly aging car, well-secured drawers that opened non-stop, broken curtains, a dirty crockery kit where a fork and a knife were missing, a motorhome for 5 but only 4 seats around the table (no extra chair obliges to buy one!) broken door joints, a table completely shredded on the edges patched up with tape … really does not deserve the price we paid! Too bad because things are good like the explanation video which is clear and well provided … we would have liked the rest to follow! [...]
21 day trip in Mavericks
(Translated by Google) The Mavericks van generally met our expectations. Just a few remarks:
- the vehicle had a lot of kilometers (270,000 miles) and was a bit slow on hills.
- the interior lighting is insufficient when stationary
- it is indicated "self-sufficient or full contained vehicle" on the description which is not exact because no toilet; therefore not possible to go to RV parks
- 2 gas bottles included but not delivered (recovery of incomplete bottles in troubleshooting)

Authentic USA at the top and zero points for Cruise america
(Translated by Google) Always a quality service and adapted answers for AuthentikUSA
Last time I used a Cruise America rental: supposed RVs for 4 adults and 3 children but are actually suitable for 4 (ill-suited living and storage spaces, no sides of tanks that are too small, for example).
Visit the National Parks of the American West
(Translated by Google) A wonderful experience, this visit to the national parks of the American West with a Winnabago Solis class B. The vehicle provided by Roadbear was in perfect condition, recent model, hyper functional and very comfortable for two people. The assistance provided by Authentik USA and in particular by Mad Gasparik was impeccable throughout the reservation process.
The explanations provided by Roadbear on the use of the vehicle when taking possession would, however, benefit from being much more explicit and complete. Being most of the time neophytes to the RV world, tenants would thus avoid unnecessary stress during the first days of use. Fortunately, Youtube often provides answers to our questions, when internet is available...

Road trip familial à Yellowstone
(Translated by Google) The motorhome is a great way to discover the beauties of Yellowstone and Grand Teton parks.
On the other hand, you have to do it in advance (3 months minimum) to reserve the 'campgrounds' to make sure you have space, especially for large vehicles (> 30 feet).
No 'full hookup' (elec / water) on site but possibilities of filling up with drinking water and emptying waste water at the entrances to the campgrounds.
Count 30 to 40€ / night.
Possibility of making a fire at dedicated locations; logs available at reception ($10/pack) otherwise collection possible in the surrounding area.
The nights are cold, so plan ahead. Heating on batteries = 2h max.
Be careful to store everything that can attract bears in the dedicated boxes.
No showers in Madison but toilets and washing up point.
Hot showers included at Grant and Canyon
Generators OK from 8am to 8pm.
Please note that no sheets/blankets/pillows/towels are included in the price of Authentik / Cruise America. You have to add $75/person! We got it for $300 for the 4 of us.
Ditto for the kitchen kit. You have to add $125!
We were 2 blocks away at Family Dollar and paid $30 for the same thing.
Frankly it's a bit abused to charge such prices...
Do not take the 'refill propane' pack at $39, it costs 3x more than if you go to an approved station yourself.
Count $3.5 / hour for the use of the generator.
On the other hand, I recommend taking the zero damage plan for $15/day. It allows you to have peace of mind, especially with this type of vehicle. You should know that the slightest damage will cost you $2000 deductible... Be aware that Visa insurance does not include CC loc if you are wondering (I checked ;-))
I recommend downloading the 'ioverlander' app which is a real mine of useful information.
Have a good road trip!

Sejour Rocky Mountains
(Translated by Google) We were taken care of at the Denver agency in a cordial and professional manner
Training on the RV was given to us - very good if we do not encounter problems
Our van was old and the accessories were too brief, during this same period we had 3 friends who rented their RVs from another company, the RVs were newer and the equipment offered was more complete (coffee maker, glasses glass and not plastic - fitted sheet - duvet and duvet cover) and for a cheaper price than ours
We had a problem with GAS leaks, we called the hotline which operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, not only did we call 3 times and no one called us back, we had to call to be taken charging....the GAS leak set off an alarm...luckily we found an RV neighbor to help us.

Good for short trip but not too long
(Translated by Google) It was our first camper experience. We found 10 nights was too long for this size of camper with no A/C.
Mattress was also very thin and hard.
Super camping car
(Translated by Google) All comfort, very recent vehicle. Equipment provided at the top.
Some additional explanations at the delivery of the vehicle would be necessary (operation of the generator / air conditioning / water in the 2 cases, namely connected in camping and in autonomy without services
Very responsive on the phone when you encounter a problem
Road Trip in Camper Van in Utah and Nevada
(Translated by Google) Although a bit dated, the camper van Maverick is robust. It drives very easily. We slept very well in a comfortable and spacious sleeping area.

at the administrative level, good support
Las Vegas-Denver
(Translated by Google) Very good, clean
2 hiccups,
Mention that el monte Denver is very far from the airport and downtown.
In the road book it would be good to mention the time change. Time zone would make travel management easier.
Otherwise great trip

3 week RV rental for 5 people
(Translated by Google) Very nice experience. The motorhome was a little old but very well equipped and very clean. A video presentation in English before handing over the keys. It would deserve to do it in French because it is not easy when it comes to a first grip. that said, when checking in, the person took the time to explain everything to us.
The RV is really a good compromise, especially since the USA allows easy parking, emptying, they have the appropriate structures. On the other hand, I do not recommend it in cities like SF or LA, it is better to leave it to take a car because it is not easy to get around town.

Very convenient
(Translated by Google) Makes eating easy. All the campsites have tables and benches, it's very pleasant.
The RVs are not state-of-the-art, the air conditioning was not usable while sleeping because it was much too noisy, a pb suffered only in Las Vegas.
No worries even on a long model like the C30, very easy to drive.
At the top everything is well organized
(Translated by Google) San Francisco branch 57 km away, the cheapest and most practical RER type transport, but a little less than 1km between the stop and the branch with your suitcases!

Cruise America - C30
(Translated by Google) We had a new vehicle in immaculate condition. No problems during our road trip except for a minor problem with the refrigerator, which was quickly resolved with the assistance number. The handling of the @Las Vegas vehicle is however very quick and you must have prepared your questions beforehand. It was our first experience in a motorhome and we must admit that it was good due in particular to the ease of use of the equipment of the RV (model C30). It should be noted, however, that Cruise America being the cheapest rental company, this certainly results in technical choices at the level of the vehicles of which it is necessary to be aware: the essential air conditioning @Moab/lake Powell, is very noisy and makes it very difficult to use hot nights (difficult nights due to the very high temperature even during the night). The waste water pipes are relatively low compared to the vehicles of other rental companies, which results in some campsites in some difficulties for emptying (you have to lift the pipe)… but we are getting there.
So for beginners, Cruise America remains an excellent choice. A seasoned motorhome owner could consider El Monte or another Road Bear with newer vehicles, better equipped and with additional features...but at a higher price. Maybe to think about for a 3 week road trip.
